Modern garden with a round pool

Location: Mysłowice, Silesia

A modern garden with a round pool for a house with a dark, steep roof. The large plot, with a change in level, holds several seating areas linked by paved paths. Birches, pines, ornamental grasses and flowering shrubs give it a natural, relaxed character.

The design includes:

• an entrance area,
• a terrace by the house,
• a lounge area with a round pool,
• a fire pit,
• a hammock area,
• a landscaped slope,
• raised vegetable beds,
• a utility area with a garden shed and log store.

Terrace with a pergola. By the house, a terrace under a louvred pergola has a dining area and a view over the whole garden. It is surrounded by beds of grasses, shrub spheres and flowering perennials.

Pool and garden steps. The round pool sits on a timber deck with loungers. Wide concrete steps take up the change in level and double as seating.

Fire pit. A corner sofa with a fire pit on gravel, among pines, grasses and shrubs, for evenings in the garden.

Hammocks and summerhouse. Hammocks hang under the birches, with a summerhouse next to them.

Utility area. Timber raised beds on gravel, a garden shed and a log store form a separate part of the garden.

In the evening, lighting picks out the paths, the beds and the pool with its floating lights, as the night-time visualisations show.
