Rosa Design – Landscape Architecture

Rosa Design

About the studio

Rosa Design is a landscape architecture studio based in Kraków and Rabka-Zdrój. It grew out of a simple wish: to create designs that are truly individual, shaped around specific people and places. The studio is run by Weronika Rosa, and its name comes from her surname, which has always been associated with gardens and nature.

Weronika Rosa

Weronika created her first designs while still studying landscape architecture at the Cracow University of Technology, where she earned her Master of Engineering degree. After an internship at a design firm and two years at another, she began working independently, and in 2017 she opened her own studio. She has been in the profession since 2012.

She has developed her skills through postgraduate studies, courses in irrigation design and safe lighting, workshops in Poland and abroad, and field placements, including in the Masuria region and in Szczecinek.

How we design

A good garden is above all a place to rest. It should serve the people who use it and belong to the place where it is created: its landscape, architecture and climate.

That is why we use locally occurring species and combine them with plants that look beautiful for most of the season. We often choose evergreens, perennials and grasses. The result is varied, naturalistic gardens that still feel orderly.

Wherever possible, we work with natural materials. When a garden needs to be easy to look after above all, we choose solutions that make that possible. We avoid plants that will not cope with the local climate.

What we enjoy designing

We work best on leisure properties and private gardens, especially when we understand our clients well. We are closest to modern gardens with a naturalistic character.

We work with trusted contractors. Weronika works with clients in both English and Polish. You can read how a project runs, step by step, on our How we work page.
